Envato Marketplaces in LA and San Francisco!

What an adventure! Some lucky staff members from the Marketplaces team have been galavanting around the US, meeting with our wonderful community and attending events. As they make their way home, here are all the highlights for you to enjoy!

Our first stop was Redondo Beach in LA. As well as a celebrity sighting (I thought I spotted Pamela Anderson in a coffee shop, but it was actually our own Travis King), the team had lots of fun setting up our LA Community Meetup. Although they might not be famous in Hollywood, we loved meeting some of our own Marketplace celebrities in LA.

We spent a fun-filled evening, talking about the Marketplaces, getting some great feedback and (of course) playing games.

It was extremely exciting to meet and spend time with our community members, especially those we recognised from the forums but had never met face-to-face. We even got some video footage of the event, you can check it out here.

After a fantastic night of fun in LA, we were off to our next destination, San Francisco! There we were hoping to meet with some of our Elite authors.

Before we had even blinked, the San Francisco Meetup was in full swing! There was an intense shuffleboard competition, delicious cupcakes and best of all, lots of community members to talk to.

All too soon the night was over. We said goodnight to our new friends before getting ready to head to PressNomics.

PressNomics was held in Phoenix, Arizona, and the Envato team jumped straight into their cowboy boots. They were kept busy by meeting the wonderful PressNomics attendees, handing out merchandise, and listening to the speakers. Our very own Helen Souness (Marketplaces General Manager) also spoke at the conference, you can see it here. As a reward for all their hard work, we even let them go horse riding!

We want to say a huge thank you to those who attended the recent Envato meetups. Thanks for making them rewarding, enlightening and fun.
