New Hub, Header & Collections: 10 Ways to Improve Your Marketplaces Productivity

We’re constantly improving our Marketplaces, and in response to feedback from the community we’ve just pushed out a bunch of updates. You may have already heard about them in our latest video or on the forums (here and here). They’re not set in stone, so we’re keen to get your feedback. Here are 10 ways you can make the most of them.

1. Navigate to any Marketplace from the new header.

Our new header isn’t just available from the hub, but from every Marketplace. It makes navigating easier than ever.

2. Navigate to any Marketplace from the “Our Marketplaces” list.

If you’re new to the Marketplaces, you’ll find the “Our Marketplaces” list on the hub really handy. It doesn’t just list each of our eight Marketplaces, it also gives you a quick summary of the types of items you can buy.

3. Get back to the hub again by clicking “Envato Marketplaces” in the header.

If you want to get back to the hub, just click “Envato Marketplaces” in the header, and you’ll be back in a flash.

4. Join the Marketplaces with a free Envato account.

If you haven’t joined the Marketplaces yet, signing up is easier than ever. Just click the big green button at the bottom of the hub.

5. Get inspired!

The new Featured Items section brings you some of the best items from the Marketplaces. They might be just what you’re looking for, and they’re bound to inspire.

6. Search the Marketplaces from the hub.

Use our new search box to search the Marketplace you’re interested in for a specific keyword. Choose the Marketplace from the drop down menu.

7. Filter your current search by category.

Here’s a search using the keyword “Christmas”. Using the menu on the right, you can filter the items to a specific category.

8. Get easier access to item previews.

Viewing full-screen previews can be helpful when deciding whether to purchase an item. Now you can jump to the preview from the items listing without having to go to the item page first. Just click the “eyecon”.

9. Save your favorites with one click.

Many people keep a wishlist of items they are interested in, but not ready to buy. We used to call them “bookmarks”, but now they’re “favorites”. We’ve made creating favorites easier. Just click the heart icon from either grid view, list view, or the item page.

10. Add items to collections with one click.

Collections aren’t just a great way to keep track of items you’re interested in, but a useful marketing tool as well. We showed you in the past how to use them as awesome SEO-friendly landing pages. Well, we’ve just made creating a collection even easier. To add an item to a collection, click the folder icon, then select a collection when prompted. Easy!
