Updates to the Logo, T-Shirt, Tools and App Licenses

Posted: 29 Jan 2014 10:08 PM PST

We wanted to make you aware of some changes in our T-shirt, Logo, and Tools Licenses. Please note that this change doesn't affect any of our users or buyers in any major way. This is largely an FYI for those who may notice the change.

We're committed to ensuring that our licenses are good for authors, good for buyers, and good for the community and we've taken a lot of time and effort to make the licenses clearer about what you can and can't do with them, and more readable in general. This is just another small step in the right direction.

So, what's changed?

We've re-written the following licenses to make them easier to understand. Nothing has changed that will affect how the licensing works for these categories:

  • T-Shirt Regular and Extended Licenses
  • Logo License

You'll notice also that we've consolidated the Apps License into the new Tools License because they were basically duplicated which means the Apps License no longer exists.

Overall, what this means is that any items bought from the T-Shirt, Add-ons, Apps and Logos categories on our Marketplaces from now will be licensed under the new licenses. Nothing changes for any items in these categories bought before 29 January 2014, that is, the old license still applies.

If you have any questions submit a ticket to our support system and we'll be happy to assist.
